OVERVIEW 🌳
Three o’clock is seeking an EU project scientific communications manager mastering high impact communication activities and engagement.

The candidate will develop communication and dissemination strategies and implement the actions in European projects, primarily relating to environmental issues, but not only. He/she will also oversee the work of communication officers at Three o’clock.

In this role, you will work directly with the project coordinator and partners to implement communication actions and engage EU-wide stakeholders and policymakers following high-quality standards.

We are looking for a motivated, pro-active candidate who is full of ideas that can help drive these projects forward. It is essential to be a team player, self-learner, and have a flexible approach to the role and responsibilities.

Excellent oral and written English is a must, with experience in the environment, climate, energy, and education domains. Fluency in Spanish and/or French are a big plus for the position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 👷🏽
The candidate will act as work package and/or task leader in EU projects and should be comfortable with public speaking, presenting their work, and facilitating workshops.
His/hers main role will be daily management of communications and stakeholder outreach tasks in projects, ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

👉 Management, execution and reporting of communication tasks in projects to the highest standard
- Managing social media accounts
- Developing and managing websites, including publishing and updates - knowledge of WordPress is mandatory
- Writing engaging articles in perfect English
- Setting up and managing editorial calendars
- Preparing newsletters, factsheets, posters
- Disseminating outputs and results in creative ways
- Organizing and facilitating events and workshops
- Designing visual content, infographics etc. – knowledge of Canva is a big plus
- Effective communication, negotiation and coordination with external suppliers
- Developing and updating communication strategies and high-impact action plans for projects
- Monitoring results and impact evaluation
- Effectively communicating and working closely with project partners

👉 Building and outreach to communities, stakeholders, and policymakers
- In depth stakeholder mapping, including identifying expectations and gaps to develop effective messaging
- Designing targeted actions to reach specific audiences
- Drafting tailored briefs

👉  Contributing to tendering process
The candidate will also be responsible for drafting communication and dissemination plans in tenders for new projects, writing work packages and tasks.

👉 Team management
This role entails organising and overseeing the work of EU project communication officers @Three o’clock. The candidate should be motivated to take on new management responsibilities as the company grows.

WHAT YOU NEED 📝
- 6+ years of experience in scientific communication, of which at least 4+ years working in European collaborative research and innovation projects (H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes, Erasmus+, INTERREG) is mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or journalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including communities, organizations, and individuals.
- Experience in overseeing, coordinating a team’s work
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple functional areas in a self-directed way
- You have excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to synthesize and communicate ideas.
- Ability to collaborate across a cross-functional team to ensure project and stakeholder needs are met
- Willingness to travel and ability to work autonomously

Three o’clock is seeking a behavioural and social science researcher mastering quantitative and qualitative research methods to understand human behaviour. This position includes elements of project management and communication among a diverse network of partners.

Excellent oral and written English and French languages is a must, with experience in environment, climate, education and/or social justice domains. Other languages are a plus 🌍

WHAT YOU’LL DO 👷🏽
- Design survey questions, focus groups and interview guides appropriately: with adapted question development & wording, question order, combination of methods and testing process, etc.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research: plan and conduct large-scale research studies combining interviews, surveys and quantitative data to extract insights that will guide the results of our projects (from exploratory to evaluative research methods)
- Synthesize findings and developing insights: identify social and economic trends and patterns and develop insights and recommendations for stakeholders
- Communicate results and recommendations in a clear and impactful way via written and oral presentations
- Design adapted behaviour change interventions based on insights from qualitative research
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social research methods, theories, and best practices
- Work with the designers and project managers to help develop prototypes that we can test with our users
- Facilitate workshops to co-design and test solutions and user experience, and collect feedback

WHAT YOU NEED 📝
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, research methods, or related field required
- Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Behavioural Research, preferably in universities and/or design agencies
- A great background in qualitative research methods such as user interviews, usability tests, observations, and surveys
- Proficiency in quantitative research methods and data analysis software
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including communities, organizations, and individuals
- You want to participate in all aspects of hands-on research such as planning, recruiting, analysis, and collaboration with design and product teams
- You have experience with various behaviour change models and frameworks
- Experience in European collaborative research and innovation projects (H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes)
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple functional areas in a self-directed way
- You have excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to synthesize and communicate ideas
- Ability to collaborate across a cross-functional team to ensure project and stakeholder needs are met
- Willingness to travel and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent command of English and French is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication
