Three o’clock is co-organising the European Citizens Hackathon for Climate Championship 🌍 in France with the EU Sparks project funded by the European Commission.
During 3 days, researchers and citizens will work together and be supported by a mentor to develop new solutions that will benefit your community.

What is the EU Sparks for Climate: Citizen Hackathon Championship?
The Hackathon is an initiative supported by the European Commission. Its objective is to unite citizens and researchers to develop technological and social innovation solutions to address climate challenges.
Who can participate?
The Hackathon is open to everyone. No previous experience is required.
The challenges?
The first step is to propose a challenge you would like to tackle that is relevant to your community, city or region.
Through the competition you will get to contribute to 2 Missions launched by the European Commission: the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change and the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities.

Adaptation to Climate Change
It aims to help regions become resistant and resilient to challenges such as droughts, heat waves and floods.
EU Mission
Climate Neutral and Smart Cities
It aims to help cities and their citizens become climate neutral, keeping emissions low to reduce our impact on the environment.
The process, awards and recognitions
22 hackathons will take place throughout Europe.
Teams will develop technological and social innovation solutions in their national hackathon. The jury will select 2 winning teams in this phase.
The 44 winning teams will then receive specific training and mentoring to sharpen their skills including learning modules on management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, social impact, research valorization and intellectual property.
After the training and mentoring, the teams will participate in the EU finals, where they will compete to be part of the top 3 winning teams of the European Citizen Championship.
Each will receive €5 000 and additional personalized mentoring, support for a crowdfunding, access to the angel investor network and support to scale up their solution.
